Where others see challenges, the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) sees opportunities.
That is the thinking behind the AFA’s 2019 Conference (the Conference) in Adelaide this August. “The theme for this year’s conference is united,” says AFA CEO Philip Kewin. “It is built on the premise that when members of the financial advice community come together to explore progressive ideas and create opportunities from the challenges we face, we will create an even more dynamic and exciting profession.”
The three pillars supporting this year’s theme are:
“The Conference offers delegates the opportunity to uncover innovative ways to provide valuable advice to more people,” Mr Kewin says. “Our conferences have always helped advisers build supportive networks to share knowledge and take time out from the pressures of every day to build leadership and wellbeing skills so that they and their businesses can thrive.”
The AFA Adviser Conference education program is built on the AFA’s learning pillars of business growth, advice strategy, professionalism and innovation.
“We know that maintaining CPD hours is a big focus, so we’ll be working to ensure people walk away with both the pragmatic tools and the education they need to facilitate the delivery of outstanding client advice.”
A highlight of the Conference is the AFA Awards ceremony. Winners of the 2019 AFA Awards, which showcase and celebrate excellence in the advice profession, will be announced during the Gala Dinner.
The AFA Conference program overview is available now, with key speaker and session details to be released later this month. Early Bird registration closes on 30 June 2019. To register or find out more, please visit: http://www.afaconference.com.au/
