The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and ANZ Wealth have begun the search for the 2018 Rising Star Award (the Award), which recognises emerging talent in the financial advice industry.
Philip Kewin, AFA CEO, said the future of advice is in the hands of Rising Stars, many of whom are already making a big impact during their short time in the industry.
“Those advisers, with four years’ experience or less, who are paving the way for our profession should nominate themselves for the Award or be nominated by their colleagues. The Award has a long history of recognising some of the best and brightest talents in the profession and we are working with ANZ Wealth to equip them with even more skills and knowledge.”
Alexis George, Group Executive, ANZ Wealth said, “Supporting and developing new talent in the financial advice industry is critical for the long-term financial wellbeing of Australians. This is why ANZ Wealth is proud to have partnered with the AFA for over a decade to recognise the new stars of the industry. It’s wonderful to see so many talented professionals joining the industry who bring fresh energy, ideas and enthusiasm.”
The Finalists will attend a full day “Personal Breakaway” workshop on 12 September in Sydney, covering business, financial and personal objectives and ID profiling to help identify drivers and values.
The Winner will receive quarterly, personalised coaching from experienced Business Coach and qualified financial adviser, Phil Little for 12 months.
Nominations for the AFA Rising Star of the Year Award close 30 June 2018, with applications closing on 6 July 2018. Find out more here: www.afarisingstar.com.au
